Back in September I headed the make-up team backstage at Fashion Fringe for the designer Teija and her spring/summer collection. Teija wanted to keep the models looking fresh and radiant but still look polished and defined around the eyes. I love doing this kind of look, it suits everyone and can be worn day and night.
We used a lightweight base on the girls with concealer where they needed it, I like Aveda’s Tinted Moisturiser.
On the eyes we smudged a dark brown chocolate kohl pencil into the bottom lashes and a little less along the top, Inika’s Coco is brilliant. Using brown instead of black keeps the look softer.
On the girl’s cheeks we used a cream blusher – Smile from rms is gorgeous for this spring glow. I love fresh cheeks, it adds instant health and youth to a complexion. You can apply a cream blusher straight onto a bare skin so it is a quick easy way to add colour and brighten skin.
To keep skin dewy and fresh we applied a cream highlight onto the cheekbones, inner corners of the eyes and to the cupids bow. W3LL PEOPLE’s Universalist Colourstick is great for this and lasts well. As the girls were lining up to walk down the runway we minimised shine with oil-blotters and then gave them a dusting of powder to finish them off.
Lips were simple with Suvana PawPaw and Honey Lipbalm.
