Destination Organic!

So with all this organic beauty talk I thought I’d share three of my favourite places to shop..

Firstly of course it has to be Content Beauty and Wellbeing, this is a one-stop shop for nearly all of your green beauty needs. Content has been at the forefront of the green beauty movement since it was founded in 2008 by Imelda Burke. It has been the launch pad of many of the green beauty brands we know and love today. Imelda bought RMS, Vapour, W3LL PEOPLE and Ilia to the UK. She was also the first to stock many of the amazing British organic skincare brands such as Therapi Honey Skincare.

Content has a huge online presence but also a free standing boutique in Marylebone. Many customers will make special journeys just to visit the store. If you haven’t done so yet, you won’t be disappointed; the staff are all incredibly knowledgeable about all things organic. It is also a chance to try the make-up products first hand – if you are planning a visit I would suggest booking a make-up bag detox or even a facial in their treatment rooms. I warn you though, you will want most things in there!!

Second is Neal’s Yard Remedies – these have stores throughout the UK and luckily I have one very near to me. I am always in there. Their first store was opened in 1981 and they have since been leading the natural beauty sector. They have great organic skincare for all different skin types, including men and babies. They also have haircare and a mineral make-up range, the mascara is probably my favourite from the range. I’m usually stocking up on natural remedies such as essential oils and homeopathy. In my local store they always have a herbal tea brewing to drink while perusing the shelves, there is also quite often a little snack made using some of their superfood blends. These keep everyone happy 😉 Many stores have treatment rooms and offer a variety of alternative therapies. Their book selection is great too, they also offer lots of workshops and courses for those wanting to expand their knowledge further.

My third place would be The Organic Pharmacy. Another one stop shop for organic beauty and wellbeing. Their Organic Glam range has some beautiful make-up products, the black kohl pencil and the nude and red lipsticks are my favourites. The skincare is amazing, it is really high performance but with no compromise on ingredients. The founder Margo Marrone comes from a homeopathic background so many remedies are available, as well as other nutritional and well being products too. Each store has treatment rooms as well, offering facials and other treatments.
