I just had a crazy few days of Fashion Week which was great. It is always so hectic and can be stressful, but it was so nice to do lots of different make-up. I have been teaching at AOFM for a good few years now and I really enjoy it, an extra bonus is that they do loads of shows at Fashion Week. This season I led teams on three presentations and one show.
My favourite make-up look was for Ekaterina Kukhareva’s presentation which was very romantic and feminine. The references were Shakespeare’s Ophelia so Ekaterina wanted the girls to look like woodland nymphs, with dewy almost wet looking skin.
We did a trial a few days before and came up with a look that everyone loved. I prepped our model’s skin with an oil to help create the dewiness. I then used Vapour’s Soft Focus Instant Skin Perfector to add more shine, I also mixed this in with Kjaer Weis’ foundation and applied just where needed – I wanted to keep skin as natural as possible. I also used W3LL PEOPLE’s concealer for extra coverage again only where needed. For the brows I just brushed them up and set with Less is More’s hair wax. On the eyes I used gel liners in black and brown (I used M&S) to create almost messy brush strokes to lift the eyes; we decided each side didn’t have to be perfect or match exactly. The gold is W3LL PEOPLE and I just smudged it on with my finger. There was no mascara as we thought this would become to doll like – no mascara seems to be a theme this season.. The blush is Vapour’s multi-use colour stick in Scandal and then lots of RMS Living Luminizer and True Organic of Sweden All You Need is Me on high points of the face for shine. The lips are Vapour’s new lip colour in Ornate (an exclusive colour for Target)
Gorgeous model here is Georgie Hobday at Profile Models
The girls looked so beautiful, literally out of a painting!
I hope you like the look! What are your favourites from fashion week?
