Ere Perez Oat Milk Foundation…

Ere Perez are fast becoming one of my favourite brands I think.. I was a little late to the party – I know people have been raving about them for a while. Their beetroot stain was my introduction to the range, which I like a lot – after my initial Aunt Sally day! Anyone who has used this will know what I mean – a very small amount of product goes a long way and lasts a long time!

I started to hear good things about their foundation – a make-up artist friend told me that they were more on the yellow toned side, which was so good to hear – I’m sure I’ve commented about pink toned foundations on here before!! So I was intrigued to give them a go. I was very kindly sent two colours to try – light and medium. I believe there was another shade in between these and a deep.

I really liked them, the colours were definitely more on the yellow side, which is always so welcome. On my skin I did find them a little dry, I tended to mix something in with them to make them a bit more fluid – maybe a BB cream or a moisturiser. I also had to mix the two colours to make my shade – the shade inbetween these two could have been just right though.. However they were a hit with me and went into the kit.

Here is the old ingredient listWater, titanium dioxide, sorbitol , caprylic/capric triglyceride, stearic acid, oat (avena sativa) extract, glyceryl stearate, magnesium silicate, isoamyl laurate, methylcellulose, potassium sorbate , lecithin. May contain: +/- iron oxides, CI 77019

When I received the email launching their new foundation I guess I was a little surprised; I’d only just found their older one! I was still very keen to try the new one though, which is a replacement as opposed to an addition. The name is the same ‘oat milk foundation’, but the formulation is new and improved. Or is it?? I’m sure there will be some people who won’t agree as I’m sure the old one was suited perfectly to some skins.. For my skin however, it is an improvement. It definitely feels more moisturising, and I don’t need to mix anything else into it. I still need to moisturise well beforehand, but that is the same with any foundation. I also need to exfoliate – again that’s the same for other brands – make-up always sits better on well primed skin.

I put a few snippets up on my Instagram stories and got some really positive messages.

(excuse my ridiculously pink and blue hands here, I think it was cold!!)

It’s always interesting when a brand changes their products – is it because of customer feedback or because of new research and technology I often wonder.. So I asked Ere Perez why they had changed the foundation and this is what they said..

“Even though we were in love with our old Oat Milk Foundation there is always things to improve. We have been growing in health foods stores and hearing our customers feedback. Our new Oat Milk Foundation comes in a different formula, packaging and more shades!

Our Formula: it is a cream, non-greasy, natural finish and long-lasting. Application has improved as it glides easily on your skin. Our unique formula has Oat Milk as a star ingredient but we have also added peach & vitamin E to promote healthy skin.

New Shades: We have added more shades making it easier for most people to find their right fit.

New Packaging: We have been rebranding the whole range, with new cleaner packaging. Our new formula now comes in a tube which gives better control when getting product out.”

There are six shades – I’ve been using Honey and it is great for my skin tone – fair and yellow! It gives good coverage that is buildable – you can get more where needed for sure. I find it works well with fingers but also really nice with a brush.. I don’t usually use a brush on myself but I’ve been trying Ere Perez’s multipurpose brush with it, and I’ll continue to use it as I really like the finish.

From lightest to darkest – latte, honey, chai, caramel, brew, mocha..

The foundation gives skin a nice glow but definitely not shiny; I don’t feel I need to powder all over, just under eyes and any blemishes. Oilier skins may need more powder down the t-zone. I’m finding that is lasting well throughout the day, so good durability. I’m liking it a lot and will get a few for my kit!

I’ve got the new concealers too and am really enjoying them. I didn’t try the older ones but I’ve seen lots of positivity over social media about the new formulations.

Are you a fan of Ere Perez? Have you tried the new and improved formulations or do you prefer the older ones??
